Guru Rinpoche’s Prophecy

Guru Rinpoche informed Tibetans that he would leave Tibet for the land of Rakshas. Mune Tsenpo being the young king at the time, saddened by the news of Guru Rinpoche leaving Tibet, Mune Tsenpo requested Guru Rinpoche to stay back at Tibet. Mune Tsenpo also asked questions to Guru Rinpoche.

In answer to Mune Tsenpo’s questions, Guru Rinpoche spoke the following Stanzas.

 

བསམ་ཡས་ལྷ་ཁང་ཁོག་ཅིང་ལྷམ་པ་དང་།                  མཐའ་འདུལ་གཙུག་ལག་ཕལ་ཆེར་འདྲུལ་ཞིང་ཞིག།       

ང་ཡི་སྤྲུལ་པ་ལྷོ་ཡི་ཕྱོགས་སུ་འབྱུང་།        རྟེན་འབྲེལ་འགྲིགས་ན་བསྟན་པའི་སྲོག་ཤིང་ཚུགས།                 

གནམ་དཀར་རྩེ་ལ་དགོན་གཞེས་ཆེ་བར་འབྱུང་།   སྟག་ཚང་བྲག་ལ་ཡིག་དྲུག་ཆོས་སྒྲ་ཤར།

ང་ཡི་སྤྲུལ་པ་གཏུམ་པོའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་འབྱུང་།        རྟེལ་འབྲེལ་འགྲིགས་ན་ལྷོ་ཕྱོགས་ཡུན་དུ་བདེ།

Guru Rinpoche spoke the above stanzas during the 8th century CE. But this Guru Rinpoche’s prophecy was revealed by Terton Drukdra Dorji in the 18th century CE.

  BHUTAN and SIKKIM Bhutan and Sikkim were small Buddhist countries in the eastern Himalayas. Both became the Nation States in the 17th century CE. The two countries shared border.   Submission of Annual Taxes to Punakha Dzong from Trashigang Dzong. Punakha was the capital of Bhutan in the past. Every region had to pay certain items as tax to Punakha Dzond annually. This annual tax should be paid to Punakha Dzong in the 11 th month of the Bhutanese calendar. I came across the annual taxes paid to Punakha Dzong from Trashigang Dzong. The following are the items paid to Punakha Dzong as annual tax: 1)       དབང་མཆོད     ( Offering for Blessing) དོས་ཡིག་ཆེན་ཞུས་ཞུ་རྟེན་དགུ་མཚན ། -           བྷ་རས་མ་ཀྲང་གསུམ་མ། -           ཐག་ཀར་མ་ཀྲང་མ་བྲང་གསུམ། -           འབུ་རས་མ་ཀྲང་མ། -           ལྟང་དཀྱུས་མ་ཀྲང་མ། -           ཁ་ཚོས་མ་ཀྲང་བཞི་མ། -           ཁྲ་ཁྲ་མ་ཀྲང་གཉིས་མ་གཉིས། -           རྒྱ་དར་མ་ཀྲང་གཉིས་མ། -           བར་མཛོད་མ་ཀྲང་བཞི་མ། If Dzongpon did not come to Punakha, Dzongpon should pay the following items and vice versa. -           མ་ཀྲང་ཁལ་བཅུ་ཐམ། -           ཞུ་ཆེན་གསུམ་མཚན།   2)       ལྟོ་འཛིན་གྱི་ཕྱག་མཇལ། (Offerings from Tozen) -         བྷ་རས་མ་ཀྲང་གསུམ

  The First Anglo-Bhutanese War - 1773 - 1774 [1] The East India Company in India The East India Company was formed among the group of English merchants under the Royal Charter in 1600.   The Portuguese were the first European country to carry out trade with India. The English were encouraged to do the same because they have seen the Portuguese making huge profit. The other European countries followed the England. The Dutch set up its company in 1602, Danish in 1616 and the French in 1664 respectively.   But we will focus for the English East India Company.
