Rinpoche’s Prophecy
Guru Rinpoche informed Tibetans that he would leave
Tibet for the land of Rakshas. Mune Tsenpo being the young king at the time,
saddened by the news of Guru Rinpoche leaving Tibet, Mune Tsenpo requested Guru
Rinpoche to stay back at Tibet. Mune Tsenpo also asked questions to Guru
Rinpoche.
In answer to Mune Tsenpo’s questions, Guru Rinpoche
spoke the following Stanzas.
Guru Rinpoche spoke the above stanzas during the 8th century CE. But this Guru Rinpoche’s prophecy was revealed by Terton Drukdra Dorji in the 18th century CE.

Translation:
Samye Monastery's halls
will be empty and dilapidated, and most of the boundary-taming temples will
crumble and decay.
My emanation will appear in the southern
direction. If circumstances align, the life-tree of the doctrine will be
established.
At Namkar Tse, a great monastic seat will
emerge. At Taktsang Rock, the six-syllable mantra's Dharma sound will resound.
My emanation will appear as a fierce yogi. If
circumstances align, the south will enjoy long-lasting happiness.
